Aftercare
Each pair of Farrago shoes is expertly handcrafted from high-quality, ethically sourced materials. With the proper care, they are designed to last beautifully over time. Due to the natural variations in leather and other premium materials, slight differences in texture, tone, and grain are completely normal and should be embraced as part of the shoe’s unique character.
To maintain their beauty and longevity, we recommend following these care guidelines.
General Care
To preserve the condition of your footwear:
- Store them in the tote bag provided when not in use to protect against dust and
environmental factors. - Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, humidity, and heat sources, which can alter the material over time.
- Keep away from rain, oils, grease (make-up), alcohol (perfume, solvents), and other abrasives, as these can cause permanent damage.
- Handle with care - unnecessary pulling, excessive force, or improper wear may result in breakage, stretching, or snagging, particularly on delicate embellishments and hardware.
Farrago cannot accept responsibility for any damage to the product once it has been
purchased and handed over to the customer.

Material-Specific Care
Leather
- Natural leather ages beautifully, developing its own patina with wear.
- Clean with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and light marks.
- For deeper cleaning, use a damp cloth and a specialist leather cleaner.
- Avoid prolonged exposure to water, as this may cause staining or texture changes.
- Condition with a neutral leather cream occasionally to maintain suppleness.
- Avoid direct contact with rough surfaces to prevent scuffs, scratches, or tears.
Suede & Nubuck
- Brush gently with a suede brush to restore texture and remove light dirt.
- Protect with a suitable suede protector spray before first wear. Ensure it is safe for use on mixed materials, such as leather, fabric, or embellishments.
- Avoid water exposure; if wet, pat dry with a clean, dry cloth and allow to air dry naturally.
- Store with tissue paper or a shoe tree inside to help retain shape.
- Avoid direct contact with rough surfaces to prevent scuffs, scratches, or tears.
Fabrics
- Use a soft, damp cloth to clean fabric uppers.
- Avoid excessive moisture to prevent distortion or damage to delicate weaves.
- Do not bleach or machine wash Farrago footwear, tote/dust bags, or their accompanying accessories.
- Avoid direct contact with rough surfaces to prevent scuffs, scratches, or tears.
Embellishments & Hardware
- Handle with care - excessive force or snagging may cause detachment or breakage.
- Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth to maintain shine.
- Keep away from moisture and chemicals, as these may cause tarnishing or deterioration.
- Avoid direct contact with rough surfaces to prevent scuffs or scratches.
By following these care steps, your Farrago footwear will stay elegant for years to come. Their luxurious materials are designed to age gracefully, making them a timeless addition to your wardrobe.
